We achieve this using a Trauma-informed approach, designing classes and lessons with individual needs in mind, providing resources for parents and teachers, and mentoring aspiring Teaching Artists.

For more than 2 decades, Mindy Kay Smith has been teaching voice students from beginning to Broadway, piano students from preschool to adult, and theatre classes in public schools, colleges, professional companies, and after-school programs. An Ohio Native, she earned her Bachelors Degree in Music Education and Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Ohio University. She later earned a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance/ Music Theatre from NYU. Mindy is especially known for her ability to understand and reach every individual student, and her caring approach to students with special needs. Recently, she has expanded her offerings to include mentoring current and future Teaching Artists. After seventeen years on the east coast, Mindy has returned to Ohio where she currently has an active studio with dozens of students!
